Best episode of Darker than Black I’ve watched! ( ???)???????????? ? / ?/ ?

They pretty much made this episode for Yin x Hei shippers. Awesome.

Also Yin in cheongsam next episode HNNNNNNNNNGH….

Seriously, Gainax knows exactly which buttons to hit in me.

Koume was HNNNNNNNNNNNNNNGH cute!

While I lol’ed at the Yamamoto-sensei cosplay. Are they like ambushing him?!

And Hii-chan’s proving herself to be a future cosplay queen by the episode.

Ouch, Anzu and Yamamoto-sensei have formed an alliance. Poor Tsucchi~~

… I wonder what are they parodying in this ending eyecatch.

Oh and this week’s ending was pretty funny to watch. Also had some flashbacks of Anzu’s mom and dad’s romance as well.

Togame is pretty entertaining. Well worth sitting through the show for 50 mins to see her mess up.

But otherwise, Katanagatari was pretty…. “balanced”; the good parts and the bad parts were pretty much equal for me.

For example the dialogue; while it was pretty witty at parts, the wooden voice acting cancelled it out a bit, especially from Shichika. Only Yukarin actually sounded proper, enthusiatic and all, but otherwise Shichika and Koumori were pretty wooden. Mai Nakahara didn’t really get to say much sadly.

Story-wise, pretty okay so far, no gripes on that yet since it’s purely just the introductionary episode.

Art-wise…. while the overall quality was pretty good, the bland directing didn’t do justice to how pretty everything is. I think it’s the problem of all the pans. Pretty much feels like a budget-saving technique more than anything. Rather unfortunate too that the action scenes were short since many (me included) expected a bit more from a show with the premise of collecting evil swords.

Still worth continuing, but I wouldn’t recommend it enthusiatically to anyone yet.

The references to Evangelion, FMA and Kamina’s cameo in this episode were pretty random though. Still, it does cement Hii-chan’s reputation and future otaku and cosplay queen status even further…

Almost can’t wait for next week, especially with this in the preview….

Rakan-san! It’s been a while! But damn, it doesn’t look too good for him too!

As expected from Rakan, even knowing a truth that would bring absolute despair to anyone doesn’t faze him at all.

Wow, he actually managed to lay the smackdown on Fate despite the overwhelming odds….

Too bad…..

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO, RAKAN-SANNNNNNNNNN!!!! ????—–??(?´???)??—–?!!!!

But really, Rakan-san is a god amongst men. Even if he had no chance of winning from the start, he still managed to beat the shit out of Fate before getting erased. Hell, he’s probably the only one so far to have actually resisted against the Rewrite beam this far.

Anyways… YET ANOTHER CLIFFHANGER CHAPTER DURR HURR HURR. Goddamnit, when are we getting the big reveal. Also, Asuna and Anya still need saving, yo.
